Decorative Painting…
Just to show the large range of possibilities with decorative painting…
Guest Bath: We based our wall design on the client’s existing sink bowl. The decorative painter enlarged the scale of the florals & surrounded the room in her artistry. This totally transformed the room to stunning!
Lower Level Rec Room: This is a unique mural of the skyline of New York City, based on the client’s daughter’s love of New York. Truly a party room effect…
Design Advice & Tips learned on the job…
Kitchen Lounging Area: A chair & a half with an ottoman can be used to create a cozy reading nook. The combination of high-end distinctive fabric on the accent pillows with a more moderately priced area rug completes the color scheme within a reasonable budget.
Lake House Laundry Room: Strap pulls on the cabinets. Details are important! Something as mundane as a Laundry Room can become very special with thoughtfully chosen details.
Powder Room: We gained several inches clearance for the toilet in a very tight bathroom, by creating a niche in the wall… the rewards of working with qualified & resourceful contractors.

Foyer: The challenge here was to bring this Foyer to life with the display of the client’s Asian kite collection. Since it was a small space with a high ceiling, we visually brought the ceiling down by painting the ceiling dark & mounting monorail lighting around the wall perimeter. This resulted in an effective uplighting of the suspended kites.

Dining Room: We replaced the existing chandelier with a more updated & sleek transitional style… moderately priced, too… Also, accent furniture was strategically placed for display of the client’s ceramic collection.

Kitchen: We used the chair upholstery fabric for our inspiration in this room, adding warmth with wall color and a custom cherry table, along with elegant Baker rattan chairs and custom framed art.
